The black MOLLE II frame (often marked DEI 1602 MOLLE II) was the first widely issued MOLLE II polymer frame used with Woodland MOLLE II rucksacks in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It replaced the original MOLLE "socket-and-probe" frame system and became the standard frame for Woodland MOLLE II rucks.
